MY SCHOOLING IN BHUBANESWAR

January 26, 2009

I studied and lived in bbsr till i was in class eighth. There i had some of the most interesting and unforgettable incidences of my life. Tryin to pendown some of them as a tribute to my friend(specially Harsh who motivated me to do so)……..

Our class was a mixture of both oriya and non-oriya students with the latter being in majority. So we all interacted in hindi. All the students were unique in themselves. First of all let me tell u bout Harsh… He is very intelligent but even more lazy. And in school we rarely talked to each other. We mostly talked when we visited each other’s place and we used to tell each other about all the secrets we knew… Well once he was palying football and he fell into a puddle and spoiled all his clothes and he was so afraid of going back home that i had to accompany him and tell his mother that it wasn’t his fault some idiot pushed him……

Well my best friend were Sonali and Varsha. And we used to fight all day long. We could fight on the silliest topic possible but still we couldnt stay without each other even for a while. I had some other very good friends as well silbha, sushreeta, soumya, sonali rout etc etc……..

I remember once there was a fight between girls and boys. and the boys wrote a letter addressed to the girls which said we should not fight like india and pakistan and we should have a settlement. And we actually had one.

Our class teacher Satyanarayan sir was a lill amnesic. He was very bad at remembering names and his stories were very awesome. He was suffering from hair loss and tried every shampoo and he described them as

  1. clinic plus: the hair loss becomes plus
  2. Clinic all clear: the hair becomes all clear
  3. Head and shoulders: your hair come down from your head to your shoulders etc etc…

but he left the school midway and then dilip sir became our teacher and he couldnt pronounce any word in english language correctly.. so we all had a gala time listenin him. He really redefined english…..

Our hindi teacher Daisy ma’am well what to tell bout her when she walked it seemed as if we were havin an earthquake.

she started her sentence with a lot of energy but never completed it(it seemed she lost all her energy midway)…

our music teacher Mr Poorna Chandra Swain what to tell bout him we kept guessin whether he was mr or miss….

ah there’s a lot more to be shared but i’ll do that later……………..

MY MOTHERLAND: INDIA

January 26, 2009

People say my country is developing ; but the whole of the world depends on indian brainpower for its development. People say my country is poor ; but it has the ability to help and support many other poor nations

People say citizens of my country of my country are uneducated ; but still learned people from all over the world bow in front of our saints.

People say we are one of the most corrupt countries ; but still people here have moral values which others can never match.

INDIA  may have some problems, but which country doesn’t have them?

So why is it that INDIA is always portrayed as economically backward nation, a nation where its citizens are tortured and deprived of their rights.

Well managing a country as vast, as populated and as diverse as INDIA is not very easy.

And atleast we indians should understand that instead of blaming our fellow countrymen we should do our due in our country’s development.

And we should all be

                                                                                    PROUD TO BE INDIANS

The almighty “GOD”

October 16, 2008

GOD, ISHWAR, ALLAH, KHUDA etc etc…….. everyone has a different name to call him. everyone worships him in a different form………… he is present everywhere…… in everything…… he governs everyone’s life he is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient.
GOD has his own ways of functioning. It is hard to understand his ways. we think he is very harsh,he is not judicious. But he is always right. we may not understand this everytime. But they are testing times to test the strength of our character. We always learn something positive from life though it may be a little painful. well here’s a small story showing this and d grace of GOD:
THE BUTTERFLY
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. one day a small opening appeared. He sat & watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.
the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors & snipped off the remaining bit of cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body & small, shrivelled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that,at any moment the wings would enlarge & expand to be able to support the body which would would contract in time.Neither happened ! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body & shrievelled wings. It never was able to fly………….
the restricting cocoon & the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go throughour lives without any obstacles it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we would have seen. We could never fly.
